JetHawks and Parrot Head Night At The Stadium---You Had To Be There!!
Headline: 247 Parrot Heads and Parrot Head Wanna Bes Drank JetHawk Stadium Dry of LandShark Beer!!

June 28, Saturday afternoon and night....247 really great people purchased the TailGate/Baseball game tickets, donating a total of over $1,200 to the Santa Clarita Valley Boys and Girls Club...AND...The auction of the JetHawks' jerseys brought in over $4,000...netting maybe $2,000 for the B&GC. Final figures will come later. There was over 2,800 in the stands for this event/game...thanks to the JetHawks to make a really great Party/Game with a Purpose!

Deb McCall was one of the happy winners of a signed JetHawk jersey, sweat and all!
Ivan Price, General Manager of the B&GC brought some of his kids to the game...and they helped out with the award of the jerseys at the end of the game:

Congratulations to all...Our Parrot, aka Scott Sperber, threw out the first pitch, it was high and wide but still in the ball park, raced KaBoom around the bases and gave the JetHawk mascot his very first win ever!!! It was rumored that a pulled muscle 10 feet from home plate caused the race to turn. We were so proud of our Parrot anyway!!!
The Coral Reefer Madness Band played their hearts out to the crowd and performed Wasting Away in Margaritaville at the 8th inning stretch (someone else did the 7th inning stretch)...
It is uploaded to YouTube, Click HERE to go there to see the Band, Our Parrot and KaBoom sing along with the stadium crowd!!

Thanks to the JetHawk organization, including Jay Stewart, Derek Sharp and Brad Seymour and all the staff that wore leis, got the Buffett spirit which added so much to the Buffett Night at the Stadium!

A Match Made in Mallory Square
Tom Overstreet, our Director of Communications, proposed to Leslie Morrissey, our Lost Shaker Editor, on March 6 in Mallory Square during a romantic watching of the sun quietly setting amid a beautiful celestial display of dazzling color. This event was witnessed by two, maybe 4 or more, mai tais who confirm that Leslie accepted Tom's proposal. It was also reported, although not confirmed, that a phlock of white parrots magically appeared and circled the square just as this event unfolded.

Happy Engagement to Leslie and Tom!!!!
