Welcome to the home of the Los Angeles Parrot Head Club (LAPHC).
Our club participates in community activities that are charitable, educational and that promote the general welfare of the community. The LAPHC is a 501(c)(7) organization, whose purpose is to assist in community and environmental concerns and to have a good time with people who are interested in the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he personifies.
Our motto is “Party with a Purpose”
Our club is open to anyone with a tropical state of mind, or is willing to learn. While hanging out, having fun and making new friends, we try to leave the world a little better than we found it . Hawaiian shirt optional.

About Serenity Park Sanctuary:
Serenity Park Sanctuary is an independent work therapy program for disabled, formerly homeless, veterans with combat-related trauma. These veterans work with similarly traumatized, rescued parrots who reside at a sanctuary on the ground of the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Employment at Serenity Park Sanctuary allows the veterans a transitional period in a stress-free environment to regain their confidence and learn valuable skills for future permanent employment. The parrots benefit by having permanent placement in large aviaries that allow them to fly and flock with others of their same species while being provided loving care by the veterans. The unique relationship that develops is therapeutic for both and the veterans are allowed flexible schedules so they can continue physical and mental health appointments.
The Association for Parrot C.A.R.E.
The mission of The Association for Parrot C.A.R.E. is spelled within its name: Conservation of parrots in their wild, natural habitats and the preservation of those habitats. Adoptions of parrots needing re-homing or into permanent sanctuary. Rescue of parrots who can no longer live in their current situation. Education of the public, animal lovers, and parrot caregivers on the appropriate care of parrots and the need to adopt rather than breed.
We're teaming up with the JetHawks once again to raise funds for Operation All The way Home (OATH). Come enjoy a great game of baseball and the after game concert starring the fabulous Matt Hoggatt.
TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW for $10
MATT HOGGATT is an Army soldier, police detective and bourbon street performer who won a song writing contest from American Songwriter Magazine which led to a viral YouTube video and a discovery by Jimmy Buffett. Buffett discovered Matt in 2012 and surprised him with an invitation to perform on stage. The discovery led to a record deal with Buffett’s Mailboat Records and Matt’s first record “Hotter Than Fishgrease” was released in 2013. In 2014 Hoggatt released a second album entitled “Workaholic In Recovery” which was recorded and produced in Memphis, Tennessee by legendary songwriter Keith Sykes. The album featured several musical contributions from Buffett band-mates, Nadirah Shakoor, Tina Gulickson, Doyle Grisham and Mac McAnally.

Sad news for the Trop Rock world...
To all the friends and family of Jim, we are sorry to tell you that last night, Jim passed away with Sharon, family, and friends by his side. Jim touched all of our lives in many ways and we will all miss him immensely.
In Jim’s words, and in his way, Jim is now with the Cosmic Magician, getting the answers to those unanswered questions, like who gave us beer.
Thank you for all of your prayers and support over the last several days during this difficult time. We will be planning a celebration of Jim and his music for sometime in the near future.
